The ruby-throated hummingbird (Archilochus colubris) is a species of hummingbird[a] that generally spends the Winter in Central America and migrates to Eastern North America for the Summer to breed.     I’m in Texas and I want to feed the hummingbirds I need to know when they arrive in Texas and how long I have to feed them my brother did it but he had passed away and I cannot remember when he put the food out for them could you help me here.

      Here they are precise in where they arrive – May8 – and leave – Sept. 8. Best to ask your birdfeeding neighbours so you can be on h’bird time.
